POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job description
As a member of the Kitchen Staff, you will be responsible for assisting to ensure the flow of daily kitchen operations. Duties include cooking, cleaning, taking inventory, and any other tasks assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
Duties:
- Provide training for volunteers in food preparation and safety
- Provide supervision to volunteer workers assigned to the kitchen
- Help the kitchen manager maintain supplies including proper stock, storage and handling
- Meet the dietary needs of the program residents
- Maintain appropriate interactions with program clientele
- Maintain good organizational skills
- Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all kitchen tools and appliances
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiarity with prep and cooking
- Creativity and critical thinking ability
