Prep Cook / Kitchen Aide - 7am to 7pm Sunday, Monday & Tuesdays (and possibly other days)

Westwind House Assisted Living may be the place for you. Westwind serves assisted living and independent living residents three meals/day, seven days a week. We take pride in serving great food to great people. We are looking for an individual who can cook and assist with kitchen tasks who has compassion for seniors who dine 3 times/day, 7 days/week, and thus has a strong desire to impact their lives on a daily basis, to join our growing team.

Duties:

Prepare and serve food according to recipes and menus. Create variety of foods, many from scratch, including entrees, soups, sauces and desserts. Responsible for maintaining sanitation and safety standards and using proper food handling techniques. Assist with dishwashing and other duties in support of Main Cook as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience working in a "cooked from scratch" kitchen. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Flexible and dependable. Must work weekends.

Pre-employment background check is required. Must have legal right to work in the US and Valid New Mexico ID.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $10.50 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cooking/Food Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• working with senior citizens: 1 year (Preferred)
