Cooks - $15-18/hour Job at Arch Hospitality Staffing
Welcome to Arch Hospitality Staffing, the largest provider of skilled kitchen staff in the Houston area.
We are currently looking for cooks for a variety of clients throughout Houston:
- Healthcare/Hospital
- Educational Facilities
- Corporate Dining
- Sports and Entertainment
- Correctional/Juvenile Detention Centers
Most positions are full-time placement with benefits once you go permanent with our client.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers
- Execute opening and closing procedures
Required Skills
- Proven experience as cook
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
- Must have current Food Handlers Card
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
