The Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET), a campus of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES), seeks to hire a Programs Coordinator to support scientists engaged in cutting edge environmental research. IMET, Baltimore Top is located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor at the Columbus Center, 701 E Pratt Street Baltimore, MD 21202. More information on IMET can be found at www.imet.usmd.edu.

This position will provide administrative, accounting and grant compliance services to the Algal Bloom (HAB) Control Technologies Incubator (HAB-CTI) program.

This position will be responsible for:

Administrative support for a NOAA funded program which involves, among others, the following functions:

  • Documentation for program announcements
  • Processing of procurement and travel
  • Subaward monitoring
  • Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (administration or finance). Two years of experience in program coordination within a research university (preferred). This position is an integral member of UMCES-IMET and must be adaptable, flexible, and able to manage a fluctuating volume of work.
