What you’ll be doing:

As a corporate communications specialist, you’ll assists in developing and implementing communication strategies to ensure consistent positive coverage of Goodwill of North. You’ll also:

  • Create corporate/agency communications materials and print collateral, including but not limited to publications, success stories, fact sheets, flyers, brochures, talking points and award submissions.
  • Assist with content creation for press releases and other marketing communications distributed to the media and general public
  • Interview and photograph appropriate news sources and events at various locations, and write associated articles or copy for marketing materials
  • Help develop and implement systems to ensure timely identification of newsworthy issues, events, and people
  • Responsible for copywriting and supports the creation of meeting presentations, CEO presentations/speeches and content for CEO social media accounts
  • Helps coordinate and secure speaking engagements for CEO and other executives
  • Assist with the creation of content for newsletters and employee app
  • Manage and maintain marketing records, including marketing consent and release form
  • Comply with all Goodwill policies, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards and safety and security regulations

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or related field is required
  • One to two (1-2) years of marketing experience and/or relevant internship experience
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are required
  • Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced work setting
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Maintain a good driving record, dependable transportation, and telephone communication devices

Working Conditions/ Environment:

  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodations to transport materials
  • Must be able to travel to all designated Goodwill locations to 20% to 25% of the time
