The expected ENTRY pay range for this position based on experience and equity within the Judicial Branch is $20.50 to $22.92.

This position is non-exempt under the FLSA.

About the Position
The Court Administration Lead provides leadership to the Juvenile Department’s Court Appointed Special Advocate of Maricopa (CASA) program by overseeing staff in a high-volume work environment to provide exemplary customer service, both internally and externally.
Standard Judicial Branch business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. This position may allow for a hybrid office/telework schedule dependent on the needs of the Judicial Branch.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
  • Three (3) years of equivalent administrative experience
OR
Combined education and experience qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis
Our Preferred Candidate has:
  • Legal, court, or justice system experience
  • Experience in scheduling and conducting virtual meetings
Other Requirements:
  • Applicants must have or obtain a valid Arizona Driver License and reliable vehicle by time of hire.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of:
  • Principles and processes for providing customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Skill in:
  • The use of web-based databases and Microsoft Office applications
  • Verbally communicating with others to convey information effectively
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience by using proper grammar and a clear, concise, and organized manner
Ability to:
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships
  • Learn, understand, and adhere to court policies and procedures
  • Excel in a high volume and time-sensitive work environment
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
(This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.)
  • Assesses, prioritizes, and oversees the workload of unit staff
  • Trains unit staff on all functions necessary to provide administrative support to the CASA of Maricopa County program
  • Manages workflow including identifying high priority work and providing for adequate and timely completion of the unit’s job duties
  • Handles confidential information with professionalism, tact, and discretion
  • Maintains compliance with department, agency, and program standards regarding confidentiality of records
  • Evaluates, drafts, and implements changes to program policies, work methods, and procedures to increase efficiency
  • Handles complex and highly critical functions within the administrative area of assignment
  • Creates, reviews, maintains, and updates reports and spreadsheets
Working conditions :
Will require weekly travel to other court locations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak clearly and hear; see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; sit for long periods of time; stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and occasionally push, pull or lift up to 20 pounds.
