Customer Relations Manager Job at Scrap Metal Services
A leading Industrial services and metals recycling company in the Chicago area, Scrap Metal Services, has an exciting opportunity for a Ferrous Scrap Buyer.
Under the direction of the VP of Operations and the Managing Director, Non-Ferrous the Ferrous Scrap Buyer will lead and manage all procurement of Ferrous Scrap within the Scrap Metal Services operations located at East Chicago, IN, and Blue Island, IL. This role will be a catalyst to evolve the current supply base by active solicitation of new supply sources
Responsibilities:
· Recruit new supply sources for ferrous scrap in the local regional market.
· Maintain effective business relationships with current supplier base and seek out new sources of scrap that will assist in meeting procurement objectives within established policies and procedures.
· Support commercial practices based on established policies to ensure fair, ethical, and productive relationships with suppliers.
· Stay abreast of current market trends and competitive situations/practices to meet the needs of the operations.
· Contribute to the management team by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years working as a Customer Relations Manager in the Industrial Sector
- Basic Scrap Knowledge

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
