Basic Job Functions: As a cybersecurity analyst your primary responsibility is to protect network and systems from cyber-attacks. This could involve researching upcoming IT trends, creating contingency plans, reporting security breaches, reviewing suspicious activity, and educating the company on security measures. Experience: 2 years of Experience in the Cybersecurity field A combination of post-high school education, job-related certification, and related experience equivalent to 5 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements. Education: Bachelors in, information systems, computer science, or physical sciences. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Being highly knowledgeable about the cybersecurity threats (and keeping up to date with the security industry) Knowledge of NIST standards such as 800-171 and 800-53 Knowledge of ISO standards Use your powers of investigation to investigate any breaches and other security incidents that occur Help to design secure networks and determine best practice methods Document incidents and generate reports for team members and key staff Work with the security team to help develop security policies and implement them Make decisions about the best tools for any given security issue (this may include evaluation of products) Work with other security team members to augment their role and advise on issues Involvement in the monitoring and audit of systems and processes such as identity and access management. Help to deliver cybersecurity awareness training Liaise with colleagues and management around cybersecurity issues and strategy. This will require good report writing skills and general communication skills. Required Skills: Have a deep interest in computing and cybersecurity Problem-solving capabilities Highly knowledgeable about computers, including networks, operating systems, applications, and web apps Practical knowledge of pen testing Practical understanding of the application of a variety of security tools Understanding of the application of human-centered security such as security awareness training Great communication skills, both written and verbal Finally, exceptional analytical skills and a mind that likes to delve into problems CompTIA CYSA+ certification Working Conditions Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copy machine, and computer printer. Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in person and on the phone. Ability to travel to the three other sites. Compensation: Pay requirements will be based on experience. The compensation range will be between $30.00 and $35.00/hourly.
