Solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Responsible for defining business intelligence requirements for individual areas; developing conceptual data models, designing reports with wireframes, build strong visualizations and test sets for reporting and analytic business intelligence needs. Works cross-functionally to collect data and makes actionable recommendations at all levels.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for managing the end-to-end life cycle of reporting and analytics from designing dashboards, building them, driving insights and building data stories for user consumption
• Translate business requirements to use cases with complete data, metric specifications, process/data flows via Visio, aggregated views for data automation and reporting needs
• Defines metrics, calculations, and sources of data in the form of data dictionaries, data source listings, data relationships and more for all data reporting teams
• Solid understanding of business and operational KPIs and their impact using the visualizations from front-end BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and weaving the data story to answer business questions
• Strong visual report designer using PBI and or Tableau
• Connecting the dots across operational functions through data to provide a holistic view of Operational services and processes
• Communicating with stakeholders regularly on scheduled deliverables and ad-hoc requests
• Own the assembly of the data analytics “story”
• Work with BAs and other DAs to obtain user inputs, validate and prioritize data-driven insights into actionable insights with functional teams
• Implement full technical documentation of data analysis, solutions, results, and insights and follow up on prioritized actionable insights.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel to create on-the-fly data excel models for confirming and validating asks
• Builds prototypes in excel or other tools to brainstorm needs with stakeholders
• Work with team members, stakeholders, and end users to ensure business questions are answered and is delivered according to schedule and with the required functionality
• Apply industry-standard analysis, and documentation techniques where appropriate to assist in providing optimum solutions
• Follows Agile development processes
• Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

knowledge/skills:

• Experience with using Business Intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Experience building and using intuitive and actionable dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions
• Strong data deep dive skills to find answers to business questions.
• Strong storytelling skills and clear communication/writing skills

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science or Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or other similar degrees,
• 8+ years of experience working in Data Analytics, Product Management, Business Analytics, or in a different related field
• Experience using Statistical tools, Visualization tools like PBI, Tableau, and Visio and strong data interpretation and pattern recognition skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python etc.
