RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking several growth oriented entry level to experienced candidates to be part of our engineering team in Silvis, IL. You will work with our engineering staff to provide highly engineered, optimized designs of various types of equipment using state of the art engineering tools.

Data Analytics Engineer

The job duties for these positions are associated with product and system pre-design for new products on various equipment and include:

• Collaborate with product teams to identify data needs, perform data analysis, and recommend product design requirements
• Develop a growing understanding of product functions, customer applications, and the mechanical and embedded machine systems
• Document analysis results in validation activity reports
• Identify opportunities to leverage virtual prototypes to support Product Analytics delivery
• Utilize Python, AWS, data bricks and the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) to gather and process information

Requirements

• BSME, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or related degree with experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to thrive in a team environment

Desired Attributes

• Advanced (MS) degree in Data Analytics
• Fundamental understanding of physical systems, mathematics, and statistical methods
• Experience analyzing data with advanced software tools
• Experience or desire to expand knowledge with Python, data bricks, AWS, and/or large databases
• Experience or desire to expand knowledge with embedded controls, hydraulic systems, and/or powertrain systems
