Data Entry Job at Ecco Lab Group Co.
The Lab Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately inputting information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), verifying information on screen, occasionally retrieving information upon request, and initiating the testing protocol by assigning accessioning numbers to received samples.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Calling clients for lab verifications and requesting the necessary documentation
- Calling clients for physician verification
- Continuing routine check of all daily problems and maintaining electronic and paper records
- Creating new patients with all correct demographics (Last, First Name; DOB; Gender; Room Number; SSN; Insurance information; Address; Phone number)
- Creating or updating new physicians’ information in the system
- Creating online orders
- Daily tracking of phlebotomy blood dropped for processing
- Daily tracking of unspecified Doctors
- Checking all requisitions (patient demographics mentioned above, labs, and doctor information) was entered correctly.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- High School Diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Computer Savvy
- Typing Speed: over 50 WPM
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to learn quickly
- Multi-tasking skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
