Credentialing Coordinator
Hours: M-F 8:30AM-5:00PM with alternating weekend shifts
The Credentialing Coordinator ensures that all clinical and non-clinical staff members' credentials and licenses are valid and up to date; when dates for renewal are approaching, the coordinator should advise the corresponding parties (Agencies, HR Dept., Staff) as to what steps must be taken, and they may also be tasked with researching potential new employees to ensure that they possess the necessary licenses and Credentials. A successful Credentialing Coordinator is knowledgeable to answer any questions both clinical and non-clinical about Compliance. It is important that credentialing Coordinators can meet all deadlines and have strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is also required for this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Processing initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications
- Prepare and scan credentialing/re-credentialing files and other credentialing documentation into scanning software.
- Process provider demographic changes ensuring appropriate documentation has been submitted with the changes and update the credentialing database.
- Screen employees’ applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility
- Collect information from National Databases, and other relevant sources.
- Identifying discrepancies in information and conducting follow-ups
- Responding & assisting clients and associating clients with Credentialing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.04 - $21.00 per hour
