Summary of Role & Responsibilities

The Database Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of critical Microsoft SQL servers. This role will also be tasked with enhancing the performance of existing databases and optimizing database design and architecture. • Provide 24x7 support for critical database production systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

  • Work as part of the Product Development process to “design-in” supportability into pre-release work
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members

Professional experience to help you succeed

Can you believe that Woolly Mammoths were still alive when tax bills were first issued? Taxation has existed in various forms since civilization began! The earliest known tax records, dating from approximately six thousand years B.C., were in the form of clay tablets found in the ancient city-state of Lagash, which is in modern day Iraq.

It’s amazing, but true! Leading a digital transformation in an industry with that level of maturity requires more than just technical aptitude. It takes creativity, patience, and persistence! Nevertheless, it certainly doesn’t hurt to have a wealth of technical experience. Below is a list of experiences that would help you succeed in this role. It’s okay if you don’t meet each item if you are willing to dig in to the challenges and learn fast!
