Daycare Assistant Teacher Job at Northern Lights School
Northern Lights School is seeking an assistant teacher who is nurturing, creative, and joyful to work in our continuity of care classroom with children ranging in age from 6 months to 3 years old. Hours are from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday-Friday, following a school schedule, plus 7 weeks of summer care. Knowledge or interest in nature- and play-based education or Waldorf education preferred. A respect and love for children is a must. A willingness to acquire additional early childhood education is desired and 15 hours of continuing education is required each year for which you will be paid. Assistant teachers will work in a supportive classroom with other teachers, performing care routines, playing, reading, and crafting with the children, preparing snacks, and cleaning among other miscellaneous duties. A high school diploma is required.
