The CBO Coordinator - Claims Resolution Specialist position is primarily responsible for supporting the clinics with insurance-related issues. This includes (but is not limited to) insurance payment research, insurance balances account analysis, insurance benefits research, work queue follow-up, and general claim processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows up with insurance companies and patients to ensure payment on claims
  • Works the CBO Work Queue related to claims not yet paid
  • Runs claim form type in QSI.
  • Troubleshoots and processes ECS rejections daily to ensure 100% acceptance by insurance companies
  • Reviews and resolves missing payments requests from the clinics for their region(s)
  • Answers questions from the clinics regarding any of the above
  • Researches patient accounts for opportunities to collect back balances when needed
  • Assigns accounts to the collection agency when needed

Position Requirements:

  • Experience with dental billing and insurance claims is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of dental billing practices and procedures, including knowledge of state, local and federal laws
  • Strong knowledge of reimbursement rules and methodologies for billing
  • Able to communicate billing discrepancies and questions
  • Fluent in Excel, Word, Outlook, typing (50+ WPM) and number entry accuracy
  • Must maintain confidentially of all records
  • Experience with QSI software a plus
