POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Specialist, Depack Chemist is to segregate chemicals by waste categories. Work with TSDF Technicians in a warehouse environment.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Unpack chemicals from drums.
- Segregate chemicals by waste categories.
- Determine which chemicals can be safely bulked/consolidated.
- Bulk/consolidate chemicals while using personal protective and respiratory protective equipment.
- Administrative functions including creating packing lists, QA/QC documents, and waste tracking.
- Repackage chemicals as per the final disposal facility specifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4yr degree with a major in sciences preferred
- Pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing
- Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
- Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
