Summary:
- Be able to review, direct and lead the design on projects of varying magnitude and complexity and handle assignments with minimal supervision, while completing within acceptable time standards
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of individuals/employees both in person and remote settings
- Understand construction methods and have an appreciation of business demands
- Have knowledge of piping, electrical and instrumentation design principles, construction codes and standards
- Have an awareness of the environmental and regulatory impact of design ideas
- Have strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas and workflow processes
- Complete computer drawings showing general arrangement plan and elevation
- Review design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams and supplier information
- Create drawings in CadWorx and AutoCad
- Ability to check drawings dimensionally
- Develop Bills of Material (BOM) relative to design documentation
- Be able to develop and/or review an array of mechanical, electrical and civil project design documentation, including: piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), plot plans, isometrics, equipment list, line indexes and material balance tables
- Knowledge of natural gas compressor stations, processing and treating operations preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Compress Codeware to run ASME code calcs, plus but not required
- Understanding of GIS and GIS information exchange needs, plus but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Current valid driver's license required
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, standards applicable government requirements
Required education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate Degree preferred or Technical Degree
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- 2-5 years of related job experience
Working Conditions:

- Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Driving, walking, standing frequently.
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment. - Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Must live within 40 miles of reporting location
