Job Overview:

Desktop Support Technician II will provide IT technical support and provide quality and timely service for a wide range of IT hardware, software, and network support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Includes the following (but not limited to):

  • Provide on-site technical support for desktop/laptop computer systems.
  • Install hardware and software components purchased as upgrades or additions to the existing IT system.
  • Setup new desktop/laptop systems, migration of old computer files to new computers, and remedial maintenance of existing systems.
  • Provide remedial maintenance such as troubleshooting, servicing, and/or repairing desktop/laptop hardware equipment to return to an operational/functional state as defined by the original equipment manufacturer.
  • Using DHA’s ServiceNow, receive call tickets from the Help Desk, adhering to prioritization of calls, updating Remedy tickets with clear/cogent comments regarding tickets, and closing tickets in Remedy.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 1-3 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • A favorable National Agency Check (NAC) and National Agency Investigations leading to a secret clearance.

Work Environment:

Work will be performed in a climate-controlled office environment.**

Employment Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Candidates will go through a government/federal background check.
  • Cherokee Federal has suspended it’s COVID mandate.
