Road Rescue Tech (Fairfield)

A&T Road Service has been taking care of its customers for over 25 years and is seeking individuals that are outgoing, energetic, good with hand tools, and mechanically inclined. This individual should find it self-rewarding to help others in need of light mechanical assistance. The position does not require previous Mechanic employment.

Light mechanical work includes but is not limited to replacing lights, hoses, belts, batteries etc…repairing wiring, replacing and repairing tires performing jump starts, ETC…able to lift 75lbs and so forth.

We consider ourselves an ambulance service for your repair / breakdown needs. We do what we can to get the vehicle back on the road. Calls are made to do light to medium duty repairs on the road, at the truck scales, or on site for fleet customers.

If you have a can do attitude and are willing to learn, all training is paid and provided until you are comfortable to perform the duties on your own. You are backed up by a 10-12 Tech Truck shop who offers assistance when you need it. The position provides freedom to travel locally and not be confined to the same 4-walls (in a shop). If you enjoy getting out and working alone once trained up. If you enjoy meeting different folks from all over the country this could be the JOB for you.

Our Customer base is within Solano County and up to 50 miles outside of the County line. You are paid for all drive time. On the job paid training. Again the light mechanical duties include, but are not limited to: DOT inspections, BIT inspections, brakes, lights, suspension, steering, tire repair and mounting/dismounting, and etc. repairs, some small welding jobs at times. Being familiar with how to use a tablet to be shown how to diagnose trouble codes is necessary. We will train.

The position is full time with benefits. Applicant must reside within 30 minutes of service vehicle's home location located in Fairfield, have a clean DMV driving record.
Technicians are supplied with late model Mercedes Benz service vehicles and all tools.

Wages: Starting at $45,000-$50,000 + annually. Added incentive $1000.00 accident free employment bonus at the completion of 6 months’ employment.
