Diesel Technician / Mechanic - Elk River MN Job at LeFebvre Companies, Inc.
LeFebvre Companies, Inc. is looking to add an experienced full-time tractor/trailer technician for our Elk River, Minnesota location on our afternoon shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) daily, Monday through Friday and/or Tuesday through Friday 2:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. (Midnight).
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are able to work independently and as a team.
Diesel Technician / Mechanic Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and Repair tractors, trailers and equipment in the shop - occasional field work
- Preventative Maintenance, inspections and repairs on light and heavy trucks
- Perform DOT inspections/certifications
- Maintain Vehicle Records
- Tires, Brakes, Suspension and Electrical
- Repair knowledge of diesel and gas engines
- Experience with hydraulic and air brakes a plus
- Electrical, hydraulic and small engine repairs
- Welding and some fabrication
- Excellent trouble shooting skills
We offer paid training and offer paid certification training.
Skills and Qualifications of Diesel Technician / Mechanic: 4+ year experience in maintenance and repair; High School graduate or equivalent; must supply own tools; Valid State License (Class A CDL preferred but not required); follow both verbal and written instructions; must be able to lift 60 pounds; Must be able to pass a required drug test, physical and background check. Occasional travel may be required.
