WKI is looking for a full-time Diesel Technician to join our growing Liberal, KS team! We offer a competitive wage and top benefits package.

Job Duties:

• Perform quality inspections of diesel trucks to identify necessary and recommended repairs

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul heavy trucks including: electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning and transmission
• Perform routine maintenance on trucks
• Light cutting and welding
• Obtain incoming repair orders from customers in a timely manner
• Manage the status of truck repair orders and provide clear communication throughout the process with service team
• Participate in training provided by WKI on technical and warranty issues with trucks
• Ensure all documentation is complete and properly executed for the entire team

Qualifications:

• Mechanic Experience: 2 Years
• Service Technician Experience: 1 Year
• Excellent listening skills to understand the customer's needs when diagnosing and repairing trucks
• Effective communicator both written and verbal to explain to service team what is needed for the repairs

*WKI Kenworth will only provide specialty tools. The employee will be required to provide all basic hand tools including but not limited to sockets, wrenches and air tools.
