Responsibilities & Requirements:
The Digital Content Specialist will develop written content for an external audience, with a focus on digital channels.
This role is responsible for developing content optmized for digital platforms and enhances consumer engagement.
Initiative and interpersonal skills are necessary to manage multiple story leads while coordinating within a complex health system.
Required Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required, ability to communicate in various media, skilled at conveying complex and technological ideas in simple and concise ways
- Ability to write and edit content for a variety of mediums targeting a variety of audiences
- An understanding of storytelling and narrative writing
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to independently manage projects with a wide degree of latitude and competing priorities in a large organization with multiple and geographically diverse business units.
- Must be able to establish trust and credibility and appropriately respond to customers’ needs within established timeframes.
Essential Functions
Key Job Responsibilities
- Create written content for distribution on the system’s digital platforms, including web, video, social media and others as needed
- Understand how to craft/edit content that is optimized for engagement and able to learn how utilize SEO best practices
- Assist in the development and maintenance of digital style guide to ensure consistency across all channels
- Provide support for other content creators as assigned or requested
- Adhere to strict deadlines, ensuring that deliverables are published in a timely manner
- Work closely with marketing, digital, video, and graphics team members to ensure content is accompanied by the appropriate visuals, such as photos or graphics for maximum impact
Preferred Qualifications:
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
BA/BS preferably with journalism, english, or business related degree
1-3 years of writing experience required with demonstrated ability to write high quality, compelling content across a variety of platforms and formats
