We are hiring for a Digitial Transformation Specialist who will work with our team to bring Smart Factory/Industry 4.0 advancements to our Berlin, CT facility. Our plant is a vibrant, growing place to be, with a strong team of professionals striving to incorporate new technologies to stay ahead of our competition.

This person is a hands-on IT professional with manufacturing experience who will help to drive the digital transformation (Smart Factory / Industry 4.0) initiatives, working with other IT and Operational functions to help support current and new initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Maintains and propose improvements to current systems such as Power BI Dashboards/ Reports, Universal Robots, AGVs, Smart Sensors, 3D Printing, Digital Quality Systems

· Recommend and develop new opportunities for improving business processes through Industry 4.0 and information systems

· Verify functionality of a new systems and initiate user acceptance testing

· Serves as a liaison between manufacturing operations, IT, BI and data warehouse teams

· Develops documentation, training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions

· Other duties as required

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

· 1 - 3 or more years of experience as IT analysis / IT systems admin with manufacturing background or Manufacturing Engineer with strong IT background

· Experience with ERP systems – JD Edwards preferred

· Experience with data visualization (KPIs Dashboards and Reports)– Power BI preferred

· Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) or MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management)

· Understanding of data modeling, data architecture & data governance concepts

  • MS Access and/or SQL database querying skills would be a plus

· Procedures and methods for testing business functions within computer systems, using troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Extract, manipulate, transform, and validate data
  • Develop business requirements for reporting

· Strong project management and time management skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education: A bachelor's in IT or Engineering with minor in IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
