POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Contract Management will lead the review, execution, and tracking of all contracts across the Hillcrest system. This role is responsible for managing the contract maintenance database, ensuring timely identification of expiring contracts, and lead the process for renewal, renegotiation, or termination.

The Director will work closely with the legal team and executives to ensure policies and procedures are followed, documentation is complete and accurate, and key payments are validated to ensure compliance with the associated contract.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively review and manage contract expiration dates to determine renewals/auto-renewals, and any required fair market value documentation that may be necessary prior to expiration of the term.
  • Work closely with administration, internal and external counsel, and compliance officer.
  • Maintenance of the contract database in coordination with the corporate contract administrator related to new contracts, renewals, amendments, terminations, and fair market value documentation.
  • Understand compliance and financial objectives and ensure contracts align with organizational goals.
  • Review and identify whether contracts meet the criteria for legal review or those which may be handled without legal involvement and executed in compliance with the contracting policy.
  • Preparation of the applicable intake forms (Contract Request Term Sheet / Lease Request Term Sheet) as required for all contracts meeting the criteria for legal review in compliance with the contracting policy.
  • Facilitate the signature process in order to obtain a fully executed agreement in accordance with the contracting policy and ensure documents are uploaded to the database system as required.
  • Routinely serve as a communication liaison between the executive/business owner, vendor, and assigned legal counsel to ensure contracts are approved as to legal form prior to execution.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors in a business related field of study required
  • Contract management experience preferred

  • Detail-orientated with effective time management
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
