FUNCTION

The Director of Distribution & Logistics is responsible for overall performance of high volume, fast-paced distribution centers at Runnings. This position is responsible for championing the Runnings’ culture, developing and improving processes and achieving production goals. This position manages the DC Managers to achieve positive results at all Runnings’ distribution centers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for championing, building and driving the Runnings’ culture, fostering a work environment that encourages teamwork among managers and staff

Incorporate company culture, vision and values into day-to-day activities

Provide consistent coaching, development and performance management to DC Managers to improve efficiency and performance

Constant collaboration with purchasing and all customers served by Runnings’ DCs; ensuring superior customer service in a timely, accurate manner, consistent with corporate goals and objectives

Develop and execute the annual operating plan and facility budgets, including managing and controlling expenditures and variances

Works with the DC Managers to oversee maintenance processes, record keeping, safety protocol, security services, and inventory controls to ensure distribution center work teams, service providers, equipment, and physical assets are safe and secure.

Responsible for continued process improvement, training development, cost reduction and monitoring quality improvements

Control labor costs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of facilities

Maintain accurate inventory levels and monitor shrinkage at each facility

Review key performance indicators and strategic initiatives to drive effectiveness, efficiency and financial performance in warehousing operations

Comply with all federal, state and local regulations

Must be able to perform in a productive and positive manner in high stress and fast paced work environment with minimal supervision.

Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain proper certifications that may be required.

Insures that each facility has appropriate processes in place for general machine maintenance, facility maintenance, service calls, and on-site evaluations and equipment demos.

Willing to travel for trade shows and training opportunities.

Must represent Runnings in a professional and positive manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
