Responsibilities Will Include:

The Director of Information Services manages and directs the information systems (IS) operations of the Michigan Masonic Home, the Grand Lodge of Michigan, the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation, and PACE Central Michigan to ensure the department supports the mission and strategic plans of these organizations.

• Assessing the organization’s technology needs and making update/upgrade recommendations.
• Setting short and long-term IT implementation goals aligning with organizational strategies.
• Planning and directing new hardware and software deployments.
• Protecting sensitive data, systems, and applications from internal and external threats. Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
• Calculating the financial costs of current and future IT system needs.
• Creating, updating, and implementing the organization’s IT policy and best practice documentation.
• Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT and telephony systems and department.
• Manages the design, installation, and maintenance of the organizations local and wide area networks.
• Manages the installation, implementation, and support for all software systems.
• Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
• Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
• Facilitates IT security audits and investigations.
• Develops and maintains relationships with external vendors and service providers.
• Coordinates multisite IT systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science required; master’s degree preferred.
• At least five (5) years of experience managing an IT department.
• Experience in managing multi-linked trunk fiber optic networks.
• Experience in managing Avaya/Extreme network products.
• Experience in managing VOIP telephony systems, preferably Mitel.
• Experience in Cloud and Local Backup strategies, preferably Unitrends.
• Management of Virtual Server Environment – Scale.
• Experience in endpoint security and management including mobile devices.
• Experience in Firewall and VPN Management (Fortinet) including secure remote access with Multifactor Authentication.
• Experience in SQL database management.
