The Position

• The Director of Nursing, Med/Surg telemetry will be responsible for the integration, facilitation, and coordination of administrative and clinical practice for the assigned nursing units.
• This role will report directly to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer and will oversee a team of approximately 35 FTEs consisting of bedside two Clinical Leaders, RN’s, CNA’s and a Unit Clerks.
• This position will be responsible for developing unit goals and objectives with staff based on analysis of clinical and managerial processes to improve patient outcomes and create a culture of excellence.
• The ideal candidate will be someone who engages in working in a service-oriented culture, they will need to be a professional role model, mentor and clinical educator for all members of the team.
• This leader will be able to demonstrate strong passion for creating rapport with teams and building effective working relationships.
• This leader must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and complete assigned tasks in timely manner.
• Prior experience working inpatient services is required.
• BSN required. Masters preferred.
