Dispatcher/Customer Service Job at Tandem Transport
We are looking to add a new team member to fill a position with our customer service/call center/dispatch team to work with our medical transportation crews and medical facility partners. The position would be on a 2/2/3 rotation working 12 hour shifts. The 2/2/3 rotation has you working 5 days one week then 2 days the next, then it repeats. For week one the work days would be M/Tu/F/Sa/Su then on week two you would work W/Th, then repeat, giving you a ton of flexibility and days off.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, route, and dispatch trips to field crews according to priority and schedule
- Use radio, phone or computer to send crews and other field units to appropriate locations
- Field incoming phone calls for scheduling
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Monitor the route and status of field units
- Provide field units with information about patients, location, traffic, and requirements to ensure safe and on-time service
- Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
Skills
- Proactive with job duties a must
- Seft starter and ability to perform job with minimal supervision a must
- Proven experience as dispatcher, customer service rep, or relevant position
- Ability to multi-task
- Fast typing with experience in data entry
- Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgement 2and critical thinking
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Dependable and reliable
- High school diploma
- Willingness to learn new skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
