Distribution Operations Manager Job at Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc
Job Description
Tuesday - Friday (some Mondays as needed)
8:00am - Completion (10 hour shifts)
Specific Duties
Included, but are not limited to the following:
- Recruit, hire, and train qualified personnel
- Provide ongoing coaching and development of the management staff
- Insure that staff is functioning at optimum levels and maintain departmental standards
- Responsible for KPIs including overtime, productivity and labor management of the facility
- Maintain and/or report to management any misuse of assets
- Analyze facility performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Covering departmental absences or vacations
- Vacation planning
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous management experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- College degree a plus.
- Outstanding communications skill (both oral and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be self-motivated and results driven
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Multi-variable problem solving skills, make key decisions under tight time constraints
- Ability to think “outside the box”, initiate and implement change
