    OVERVIEW

    Responsible for providing executive level, confidential administrative support to the Superintendent and district administration. Support schools and departments by being a resource of information. Coordinate meetings and activities for the district administration. Act as liaison with all levels of district staff and community representatives. Provide information to public regarding departments, school, district policies and procedures.

    QUALIFICATION
    • High School diploma or equivalent plus additional relevant course work
    • Experience as executive level administrative assistant preferred
    • Experience in education and/ or a school setting preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Google, presentation graphics
    • Experience with spreadsheets and databases
    • Experience using voice mail, fax, E-mail and Internet
    • Maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.
    • Submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check.

    • Computer-literate professional with ability to perform a variety of complex tasks
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
    • Ability to maintain high keyboarding speed and accuracy; ability to use e-mail and internet/on-line services

    • Demonstrates skills in organization, human relations, conflict management, oral and written communication skills; continually improve and upgrade skills
    • Ability to work cooperatively with others, individually and in teams;
    • Ability to use database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software efficiently

    • Create a welcoming environment by having positive interactions with co-workers and visitors in the district office
    • Assumes overall responsibility for administrative support to district administration, as needed, within the areas of the district
    • Exercises a high degree of independent judgment in planning, coordinating and initiating activities to accomplish daily operations using discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in meeting the goals of the district
    • Provides district office support and anticipates needed routine activity in order to accomplish district goals
    • Acts on routing decisions in the name of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
    • Prepares correspondence from dictation or transcription and composes correspondence for the Superintendent’s and district administration’s signature. Memos, reports, agendas, etc.
    • Manages daily office procedures, including answering the telephone, inquiries, communicating with the public, school staff and other departments, assists/directs visitors to proper meeting places and locations; maintains executive calendar(s) and schedules appointments, meetings; coordinates activities required for meetings; appointments, conferences, workshops and travel
    • May include editing, organizing and producing varied and complex projects, including graphics and slide presentations.
    • Manages time efficiently and independently; solves problems
    • Manages software for doors, facilities, transportation, staff professional development, and human resources
    • Maintain files and databases.
    • Update user guides for district office operating systems i.e. PowerSchool, School Dude
    • Manage and update district’s website and social media accounts
    • Make arrangements including air travel, hotel reservations, and registrations.
    • Cross train with district office personnel as assigned
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
