PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for assisting schools with collecting, entering, and generating reports on student data for student support and meeting local, state and federal requirements. This is a shcool-based, transient position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education Level: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Preferred: Additional coursework in accounting or data processing. Associate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related area
  • Experience, Skill, and Certification:
  • Two years of experience in data processing on an enterprises system.
  • Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to learn new concepts, work with limited supervision, meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with frequent intrepretions while engaged in multiple assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work in teams and express ideas clearly in both wirtten and oral communication.
  • Required to score 90% or higher on a pre-employment Data Entry Skills test.
  • REquired to complete Data Ethics course and pass assessment with a score of 90% or higher within two months of employment.

Preferred: Knowledge and understanding of student data systems.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collects, inputs, updates, and verifies student data accuracy for local, state and federal reports.
  • Assists and also serves as substitute for School Information Specialist as needed.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality in the administration of all student information.
  • Generates and manipulates ad hoc reports as needed by school and district level staff.
  • Supports studetn systems training as needed
  • Conducts regular data integrity checks to ensure accurate and reliable data on students systems.
  • Supports and follows up with teacher concerning attendance and grade posting.
  • Performs other duties as necessary for organizational effectiveness.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will be considered “at will.” Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. This is a 229-day position. (G-7, Non-Exempt) This position may be filled as 49% time of Full Time.
