The Dock/Warehouse Lead works directly with the Plant Management team to ensure that daily production goals are met in a timely and efficient manner. This supervisory position is responsible for training associates and ensuring quality expectations are met.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Production Lead position is responsible for the following duties including, but not limited to:

• Working directly with Plant Management and other Leads to schedule and assign employees and/or equipment to ensure daily production goals are met.
• Training the dock team in proper work techniques, safety procedures, etc.
• Reporting problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment and/or employees in a timely manner to Plant Management.
• Identifying and supporting continuous improvement efforts with Plant Management.
• Actively working as a member of the dock/warehouse team and performing dock/warehouse job activities as needed.
• Other special projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing/production environment in a role beyond entry level.
• Past supervisory or project management experience preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with internal customers, various levels of management and employees.
• Must be strongly organized, self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Proven job diligence, dedication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive, team environment.
• Ability to re-prioritize as needed and think on-the-fly.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet skills and ability to learn new technology, programs and equipment as needed.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles a plus.
• Ability to work extended hours as need to respond to fluctuations in customer demand. This can include early mornings, late evenings and some weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
