DOD Mentor (IC) Job at Reservoir International, LLC
General Purpose/Summary/Objective:
The DOD Mentor will provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to instruct, observe, assess, and evaluate students during a live-training environment to support Special Warfare Training Course Phase I, II and sustainment. Additionally, design course material and outlines supporting scripted training.
Essential Functions:
- Documented experience as part of a country team serving either as an Ambassador, Defense Attaché, Chief of Station (COS), Operational Officer, and/or Regional Security Officer (RSO) in the region designated per individual task order.
- Documented experience within the last three (3) years interacting with SOF/Joint Force unit commanders in an operational environment and/or urban and rural HUMINT exercise environment.
- Coach and mentor trainees regarding HUMINT tradecraft principles
- Review and approve surveillance plans developed by trainee, including mapping out routes, determining opposing forces operations.
- Development of an after-action report and discussion with other HUMINT instructors and Client
- Debrief trainee, leads and client.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office and field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and other standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:

- Able to move ten pounds; occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five pounds
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Understand the speech of another person
- Speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
Travel:
Travel to CONUS locations in support of the mission as required by the company and/or the customer. All travel to be approved by the Chief Operating Officer.
National Capital Region; Richmond, VA; Norfolk, VA; Boston, MA
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 5 years of SOF HUMINT experience as MSO CAT 1 HUMINT collector
- 1-year non-joint operating tour
- FTC or OTC Graduate
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Possess a valid Driver License

- Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize assignments.
- Must be able to maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidence and integrity while directly dealing with internal and external customers.
- Redlining, negotiation and diplomacy skills are critical in dealing with external contacts.
- Must be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, have excellent interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
- Requires Proficient computer skills (MS Word required).
- Must demonstrate excellent writing, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
Education Requirements:
- BA/BS
- MSO CAT I HUMINT Collector course graduate
Work Authorizations/Security Clearance:
Must be a US Citizen- Must possess a current TS security clearance and eligible for SCI
- Must sign a Non-Disclosure
