Job Summary

The Domestic Freight Supervisor supports Wego’sDomestic Logistics team at our Global HQ in Great Neck, NY. He / shesupports the team with currentshipment information and provides excellent service while maintainingcompliance with all regulations. Responsibilities

· Provide oversight to Domestic Transportation team.

· Work with approved Drayage, FTL and LTL carriers to determineavailability and obtain freight rates.

· Ensure timely retrievalof cargo.

· Dispatchnotifications to Wego’s network of public warehouses and carriers.

· Work with customers, carriers, and warehouses to resolve issues with shipments.

· Forward completed shipment details to both internal colleagues and external customers.

· Assure proper information flow with sales on changes and / or difficultieswith external customers or suppliers, specificallyfocusedon domestic freight concerns.

· Identify gaps and establishcontrols to mitigate compliance issues.

· Maintain a continuous improvement process to increase efficiencies and improve performance.

· Ensure personnel are trained, technically competent,and well informed of changes in services requirements.

· Work with teamsin the evaluation of transportation KPI’s.

· Investigate, plan,and implement transport methods that are strategically effective and relevantfor Wego, itssuppliers and customers.

· Develop and maintaincarrier relationships, evaluate carrier performance, and provide timelyservice updates to Domestic Manager

· Organize and lead business reviews with carriers to identifyoperational efficiencies and areas of opportunity.

· Inform leadership of all transaction problems or irregularities.

· Departmental duties such as reconciling billing, documentation, and closing out shipments as needed.

Key Qualifications

· Minimum of 7+ yrs. experience in the industry.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain.

· Power user within the Oracle Transportation Module (OTM) or comparable platform.

· Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally.

· Experience with logisticsscheduling, trucking coordination, planning, customer service, and freight management.

· Must be capable to collect, analyzecomplex data and recommend / lead implementation of same.

· High energy, proactive, and highly organized with an ability to manage and complete multiple tasks on time.

· A commitment to going above and beyondto fulfill client needs.

· Highly detail oriented and self-driven to improve.

· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Freight management: 7 years (Preferred)
• Oracle Transportation Module (OTM) or comparable platform: 7 years (Preferred)
• data analysis: 3 years (Preferred)
