Lakeland Behavioral Health System is a proud member of the Acadia Healthcare Family. We are a leading provider of acute inpatient and residential treatment services for children, adolescents, and seniors. Lakeland began solely providing psychiatric services in 1989 and has grown into a 206-bed facility, with patients from across the United States.

In this role you will provide efficient and safe transportation for patients/residents to and from facility. Must have excellent driving record and ability to obtain Class E License. Must be flexible and be available between 1:00PM and 12:00AM (8 to 10 hours depending on need). 1 to 2 Saturday's each month 9am - midnight.

Other duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Transport patients/residents for admissions, discharges, and other needs as may arise. Transport trips may be for several hours at a time.
  • Respond and adhere to "on call" schedule as may be required due to needs to the facility
  • Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation
  • Maintain vehicle logs and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff
  • Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean
  • Must be able to obtain Class E license
  • Perform all driving assignments in a manner that complies with Lakeland safety standards
  • Must be at least 21 years of ago, hold a valid U.S. driver's license, possess an acceptable driving record, be approved by facility and meet all safety training requirements of the facility.

Experience

Required
  • Prior experience as patient transporter is desired.
Preferred
  • Previous driving experience preferred
