DSP Duties:

  • Assist the individuals in meeting goals and outcomes established in the Service Plan
  • Accompany the client during community integration activities and socialization
  • Providing companionship and stimulation for the consumer including reading, walks, etc.
  • Accompanying the consumer to appointments if needed.
  • Participate in team meeting when needed to provide feedback on the client’s progress
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping as needed.

PCA Duties:

  • Perform personal care, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting
  • Plan and prepare meals according to specific dietary requirements of the client
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping. This includes changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, and laundry.
  • Providing companionship and stimulation for the consumer including reading, walks, and other activities
  • Accompanying the consumer to appointments if needed.
  • Assist with grocery shopping or other errands as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have current and valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current and valid car insurance
  • Must be able to pass various background checks
  • Must be able to work every other weekend, holidays, and on-call rotation
