What You Will Do
The primary focus of this position is to work at the Duke University location and assist with moving & installing furniture.
You will need to display a professional appearance, a positive attitude, to show initiative, and a willingness to learn. This position allows the person to enhance their knowledge, ability, and speed of systems furniture, and case goods. Good interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
- Unloading, staging, and uncrating of product.
- Inspect the product and notating any damage.
- Preps the job site for installation.
- Reads and understands delivery tickets and product tagging information.
- Manage the cleanup and trash removal of the site and Storr truck.
- Complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
- Adhere to the company dress code and safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
- Maintain a complete set of tools at all times.
- Complete timesheets and other required paperwork/reports on a timely basis.
- Assist other departments within Storr as needed.
- Responsible for the purchase price and maintenance of tools required for the tasks in this position
Education and/or Experience
- Ability to follow instructions completely and successfully.
- Basic decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail
