Pepetools is a leader in the world of jewelery tool equipment production and our online presence and eCommerce sales products are a significant sales driver for our business. We are looking for a skilled product associate with an understanding of the technology and business processes that underpin a world class eCommerce business to manage the website & eCommerce feature roadmap that meets the needs of internal and external customers including D2C & B2B customers, finance, sales, customer service, marketing and product.

You will formulate a complete understanding of business requirements including the upstream/downstream impact as it relates to new business models, product strategies and merchandising strategies. You will provide business requirements and technical specifications to development teams such as product engineering, cloud services, and business applications.

You will be the "voice of the product" to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Seeks to empathize with and understand the end user deeply and use that knowledge to determine the fastest path to deliver value
  • Translates business goals and end user needs into product strategy; communicates direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners
  • Identifies goals, metrics and analytics to determine product value; continually makes recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings
  • Manages and grooms the product backlog; makes future decisions based on the value that will be delivered
  • Monitors research as well as the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class
  • Evaluate new features and Shopify apps/solutions and make recommendations to key stakeholders for which solutions will best meet needs of the customer
  • Ensures that product directions balance both the user needs and business goals of driving sales, improving efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • In depth understanding of eCommerce and payment trends, market dynamics and ecosystem
  • Strong technical background, ability to dive into technical details is required
  • Ability to collaborate and influence different teams including engineering, design, business development, marketing, operations, risk, data science, etc.
  • Solid experience managing/establishing SKUs, pricing structures, order orchestration
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce platforms and technology
  • Highly skilled at prioritizing tasks, projects, and strategic goals
  • Highly analytical, data-driven decision making
  • Ability to define product requirements related to Payments, Fraud, Security for ecommerce sites
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Driving requirements, roadmaps, and prioritization across a large customer base & stakeholders
  • Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners
  • Strong communication skills

  • Shopify Plus
  • Postscript (SMS)
  • Klaviyo (e-mail)
  • Shipping integration software (Shiphero, Shippo, etc)
  • Canva
  • Facebook/Instagram advertising a plus
