Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an eCommerce Support Specialist. The eCommerce Support Specialist plays an integral role in training and troubleshooting at all levels of the eCommerce channel for both internal and external customers/stakeholders of Carter Machinery. Supporting the internal team through training as they grow the userbase and supporting the userbase as they encounter technical issues related to the eCommerce channel. Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in an e-commerce and/or technical support role. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Requirements for the eCommerce Support Specialist position include:

• Must be adept at working with multiple integrated systems.
• Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess ability to troubleshoot and work with cross functional teams.
• Must be able to interact with all levels of personnel within the company and with external customers.
• Must possess ability to present information and respond to questions related to an online sales system.
• Must be able to coordinate and conduct training sessions on the operation of an online sales system.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must possess strong critical thinking skills.
• Must be well organized, with ability to develop and execute action plans that fit within strategic guidelines.
• Must have the ability to adapt to changing technology.
• Must possess advanced level experience with MS Excel and Powerpoint and be proficient with other MS-Office applications.
• Strong working knowledge of internet browsers and cloud-based systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to travel periodically throughout Carter’s service territory, including overnight stays.

Physical requirements must be met for the eCommerce Support Specialist job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.
