ED Registrar-PRN Job at Pana Community Hospital
Pana Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Emergency Department Team.
The position is a PRN position 6A-6P or 6P-6A, performs the following but not limited to the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Provides high level of patient satisfaction.
- Keeps patients/families informed of wait time and delays in testing.
- Reports any change of patient’s condition that is in waiting room to the accountable RN.
- Informs accountable RN of any issues present in waiting room.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette
- Accurate registration of patient in EMR
- Accurate entry of payor source
- Proper verification of patient identity
Requirements of this position include:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Current BLS and CNA certification (preferred)
- Excellent communications and public relations skills to interact with patients and families
- Computer skills to ensure patient registration is performed efficiently and without error
- Prior experience in a medical office setting would be preferred
