JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Electrical Specialist is primarily responsible for keeping the work cells/test bays running smoothly. Provides guidance to less experienced technicians. Areas of specific responsibility include:
- Mechanical – Good working knowledge/experience level with mechanical assembly, disposition, troubleshooting and testing activities.
- Electrical – Good working knowledge/experience level with electrical assembly, disposition, troubleshooting and testing activities (including the VFD house).
- Well Control – Good working knowledge/experience level with well control component assembly, disposition, troubleshooting and testing activities.
JOB DUTIES (include but are not limited to):
- Assists Overhaul Manager with oversight of a particular work area
- Coaches, mentors, and gives guidance to Machinery Technicians
- Ensures processes are followed and work steps are signed off in a timely manner
- Provides technical and/or troubleshooting assistance to technicians
- Helps communicate employees benefit time to front office
- Communicates any supply related concerns to Materials Dept.
- Helps train new technicians
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience (5+ years preferred) as a field mechanic or electrician, and/or machinery technician
- Demonstrated commitment to H&P’s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards with a proven track record and leading by example
- Actively promotes and works by the critical elements of the H&P Way: Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Teamwork, & Do the right thing
- Must have the ability to communicate with Machinery Technicians, Material Handlers, and all levels of management within OSS/FMC
- Must have PC application skills, including MS Office and Adobe products
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
