Employment Specialists work with participants in our Self-Directed Services Programs. Employment Specialists are responsible for developing employment, self-employment, and/or volunteer opportunities to expand on skills necessary for competitive employment with the participants in our programs. They also provide community based job training opportunities to address job modifications and/or job restructuring to develop natural supports. They also provide job, career and life skill training to enhance employ-ability skills. Must be able to contact, network and develop relationships with potential employers.
Location: Throughout Ocean County
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, or Flexible to fit Program Needs
Pay: From $19.30 per hour, Shift Differentials, Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than five points
- At least one year of longevity with a previous employer
- All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and up to date with vaccine status
Education: Bachelors Degree in Human services or related field
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
