EMPOWER SPECIALIST
WILSON, NC

Schedule: 8am-5pm mon-fri
Duration: 5+ months

Required Skills:

• B.A./B.S. degree (preferably in Science or Engineering), no Ph.D.
• 2-4yrs industry experience, pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Empower admin experience.
• MS Office (Excel, Project), GCM, GLIMS and SAP
• Proficiency in computer builds and aptitude with information systems.
• Ability to learn at a rapid pace.
• Routine use of analytical tools to solve issues and simplify processes.
• Capability for continuous product process improvement.
• Applies regulatory / compliance requirements, including GMP, NDA, and related regulations, and can interpret those regulations for implementation in workplace.
• GMP/GLP experience.
• Project management as needed.
• Attention to detail with focus on spelling is a must.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting.

Project Description:

• The position isn't LIMS but Empower to apply knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products and processes and assist in the roll-out of Laboratory Information Systems.
• The successful candidate will have the ability to work Independently with minimal guidance.
• Highly visible role requiring attention to detail, self-motivation and organization.
• Solve complex problems and take new perspective using existing solutions.
• Build knowledge of the company, process, and customers.
• Promote teamwork.
• Pay close attention to the work of others and proactively step in to help as needed.
• Support daily operation of the Empower, GLIMS, LabX systems.
• Administration of Empower and LabX activities.
• Adding/removing instruments, creating/modifying methods, adding/removing sample reports.
• Support software issues/troubleshooting as needed.
• Drive continuous improvements and lean activities.
• Support any other activities as requested by the Manager.

This 5+ month position starts ASAP.
