At Elite Medical Transport our EMTs are responsible for responding to requests for medical care and transfer of patients in a wide variety of circumstances, specific responsibilities include:

  • Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
  • Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Document patient information, condition, and treatment
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
  • Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
  • Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
  • Provide basic life support and gather patient data
  • Operate an IBM-compatible computer and report on services provided using a desktop application

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A minimum of either a high school diploma or a GED as evidence of completion of a high school education
  • A current state certification (license, if applicable) at the level required by the position (EMT Basic, Intermediate/Advanced or Paramedic.
  • A valid driver's license
  • American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and/or American Heart Association BCLS certification
  • FEMA ICS 100 & 200, IC 700 & 800 certification within 30 days

The job has some specific mental and physical requirements:

  • Appropriately deal with stress and maintain composure when encountering serious injuries or illnesses.
  • Physical strength and dexterity and the ability to function in very adverse environments with exposure to numerous safety risks typically found at emergency scenes. A detailed analysis of those requirements is available upon request.

Pay: $288.00 per day
