The End User Computing Engineer is responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing solutions that support end user computing. End User computing includes the Operating System, Application Delivery, patch management, and application updates for end user devices. This role includes developing and distributing system configurations, documentation, enforcement of security policies, and management and maintenance of the centralized deployment of applications. This position focuses on providing an excellent End User experience and may provide general training for applications and hardware to end users or other support analyst as required.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and maintain standard build/images, and the build/image creation process for end-user devices
  • Engineer packages and deployments of End User device software via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) & JAMF
  • Manage and administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) & JAMF
  • Automation and process improvement of current End User computing environment
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the centralized configuration and patch management
  • VDI implementation and management
  • Review trend of support cases related to endpoint deployment to identify any areas of concern, propose and implement improvement measures
  • Function as a resource on projects including new hardware images, Windows, Mac and Office upgrades and other projects involving updates to software on End User devices
  • Coordinate with multiple teams and departments to implement, maintain, and enhance a common End User device experience
  • Act as a technical escalation point and research complex technical problems and identify, implement, and communicate technical fixes
  • Assist and train Technical Support Analysts and other IT staff on the troubleshooting and resolution of End User computing issues
  • Partner/collaborate with application and security teams to develop a secure technical environment
  • Automate tasks by scripting
  • Maintain high standards in quality in the delivery of End User computing services
  • Develop a deep understanding of industry trends and competitive advantages
  • Maintain current and thorough knowledge of modern technologies
  • Create and maintain documentation with a focus on detail
  • Work independently and under the supervision of the Senior Systems Manager
  • Plan for and implement disaster recovery/business continuity solutions for End User devices
  • Work with 3rd party vendors and outside consultants as business needs require
  • Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position
  • Works as part of an on-call rotation

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant degree and one (1) to four (4) years of experience with Microsoft and Mac Desktop operating system and Windows application deployment, configuration, and management or,
  • Associates in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant degree and three (3) to six (6) years of experience with Microsoft and Mac Desktop operating system and Windows application deployment, configuration, and management or,
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience with Microsoft and Mac Desktop operating system and Windows application deployment, configuration, and management
  • Technical certification(s) preferred (MDAA, MCSA, ITIL, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Intune, & JAMF
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with VDI
  • Working technical knowledge of network, server, and storage infrastructures
  • Experience with MacOS, iOS and Android
  • Extensive knowledge of Group Policy (GPO) administration
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational abilities, ability to prioritize and follow up on open issues and projects with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business including peers, technical management, and/or external vendors

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (50) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Colorado salary range: $‎64,236.00-$‎107,060.00. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
