The City of Dodge City is accepting applications to fill an Engineering Technician I position in the Engineering Department. This is an excellent opportunity to begin building a career. Although we do not offer the glamour of a large city or large engineering firm, we do offer a learning environment where you can immediately utilize your education and develop and apply skills which will prepare you for the future challenges of management in municipal government engineering. As a growing community, we are in the process of improving and expanding our infrastructure.
The job duties of the Engineering Technician I include but are not limited to designing and preparing engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for municipal public works projects, including water distribution systems, sanitary sewers, storm drainage, roadway, and airport improvements; assists with data collecting; Other duties may be assigned.
Salary range for this a non-exempt position is $18.83 to $27.31/hour, DOQ, plus full City benefit package. Benefits include single or family health insurance and KPERS retirement system, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Start date for this position will be as soon as possible.

Pay: $19.40 - $28.13 per hour
