We are currently looking for a full time employee to help with residential drafting. We design and develop plans for homes across the metro area as well as remodel/addition plans. Our company designs between 200 and 250 homes/remodels each year ranging from 100,000 to 2,000,000+ dollars in value. Looking for someone that has experience with AutoCAD 2D or 3D and a good understanding of basic construction practices. Job will entail working on developed designs, putting together construction documentation, measuring homes for remodels & additions, and on occasion revising documents per client needs.

We are a small but rapidly growing company, looking for someone that wants to help us grow even further. Bonus program and the ability to work from home and flexible hours are all options on the table. We have a very flexible/easy working environment. To be clear, while we have the option to work from home, it will be required to be in the office for the first month while training and to be in the office at least once a week for review, update meetings.

Requirements:
-knowledgeable in AutoCAD 2D (3D is not required but a good plus). At least 1-2 years experience.
-Must have a good basic understanding of construction practices and how homes go together.
-Ability to travel to meet with customers in the Metro area (carpool or pay for mileage)
-Able to use Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft programs.

To be clear, while we have the option to work from home, it will be required to be in the office for the first month while training and to be in the office at least once a week for review, update meetings.

Not required, but would be handy:
-Able to use Forte engineering software.
-Able to use Simpson wind bracing software.
-Able to use Sketchup or other 3D modeling programs.
-Artistic sketching/design capabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
