We have a great opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our Team! Farrel Pomini is a global leader in the research, design and manufacturing of continuous mixing systems for the polymer processing industry. We are conveniently located in a new facility off Route 8 in Ansonia, CT. Farrel Pomini is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of physical health and safety, and environmental activities across all applicable departments. This includes the development, implementation, and maintenance of the management systems related to ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

• Provide direction and assistance on the implementation, development, training and maintenance of the existing QHSE management systems.
• Ensure that all assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and ensure appropriate records are maintained accordingly.
• Conduct workplace health and safety, and environmental inspections and audits, notifying Senior Management where containment, correction, or corrective/improvement actions are required.
• Support in implementing, developing, and maintaining the organization’s Management Systems, ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
• Enhance company-wide QHSE awareness and provide/identify the need for training where and when considered necessary. Maintain accurate records.
• Communicate policy, practice, and procedure throughout all departments within the Company.

Required Experience:

• Minimum three years of relevant experience
• Experience in QHSE management of a plant, manufacturing, and machining type environment.
• Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and OSHA standards.
• IEMA certification would be a plus.
