Our Equipment Mechanics work alongside our Fleet Manager, Department Heads and Construction Foreman to assist in and contribute to, the general maintenance and operability of our fleet vehicles/equipment. Our Equipment Mechanics should be able perform maintenance checks, DOT inspections, Safety/Performance inspections, assist in vehicle/equipment/parts procurement, service calls, and both routine and in-depth repairs on all vehicles & equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs routine and in-depth maintenance on company fleet and construction equipment.
• Troubleshooting repairs- hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, computer systems, and A/C systems.
• Heavy equipment repair includes, but not limited to loaders, rollers, brooms and forklifts.
• Perform all maintenance services according to appropriate safety regulations, company policies, DOT requirements.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, move 70+lbs, and remain stationary for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work extended hours and irregular days when needed.
• Safe operation of all equipment and tools.
• A good driving record is required – CDL is a plus.
• Use internal fleet management and maintenance software systems.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and safe manner.

Requirements

• 1+ relevant years’ experience as an Equipment Mechanic
• Class E (MO) or Class C (KS) required within 30 days of start date
• Availability to work overtime on a short notice as needed
• Accredited Automotive Education preferred

Compensation and Benefits

• Weekly Pay
• $3.00 shift differential added to base pay
• Overtime paid after 8 hours worked a day
• Paid Time Off after 1 year of Employment
