Evening Janitor Job at Mapleton Care Center
Mapleton Care Center is a small privately owned nursing facility near the Bel Mar shopping center in Lakewood. We are on 1st Avenue between Wadsworth and Sheridan. We are on the 1st Ave bus line.
Mapleton cares for 65 to 70 residents on two small nursing units. If you want to work in a well-resourced center, where you can proud and valued for your work, we want to talk to you! We are looking for an evening Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.
This position is Monday - Saturday 1pm to 7pm.
Responsibilities
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven working experience as a janitor
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
